Key principles of our work

The state of teeth, gums, oral mucosa and upper and lower jaws need to be viewed holistically as they can be indicators of something more serious in the rest of the body, diabetes, hypertension or neurological disorders, for example. The state of a patient’s teeth, however, differs from person to person. With this in mind, we work alongside our patients to develop individual and targeted treatments to meet exact requirements:

The Oshima Private Dental Office was established with the aim of providing excellent dental health care to prevent the onset of diseases and to promote health and well-being. In addition to quick and effective treatments, we believe having good oral flora is crucial to improving the overall health of teeth.
It is important to remember that a delay in treatment can worsen a condition. It may not only cause you more pain, but also add to the cost of treatment. Thus, we strongly advise patients to undergo regular check-ups in order to identify disorders before they have time to develop.

We have two information for our visitors
1. Prevention is the cornerstone of our work and our aim is to provide patients with advice on oral hygiene to ensure oral health. Please see us for treatment before your condition worsens.
2. On a scientific level, as Prof. Dr. Toshiyuki Oshima is one of representative members of the Japanese Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (JSOMS) and also a board member of the Japanese Society for Oral Care (JSOC), Oshima Private Dental Office collaborates with the Japanese Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (JSOMS) and the German Society of Oral and Cranio-maxillofacial Surgery (DGMKG). Due to our commitment to these associations as well as the University of Freiburg / Universities in Japan, there may be times when appointments may have to be rescheduled. For that reason, we would be grateful if you could check appointment times with us before arrival.
